Worship at Westminster is vibrant and traditional. In public worship we believe we are engaged in a corporate act of covenant renewal with God which involves both our service to God in worship and prayer, and his ministry to us through the Word and Sacraments. The structure of this covenant renewal is as follows: We are called into God's presence to worship and bless his holy name, we confess our sins and receive his assurance of pardon, we are consecrated by the reading and preaching of his holy Word, we commune with him in response to his word and, finally, he commissions us and sends us forth with his blessing. In short, our worship can be described alliteratively as: calling, confession, consecration, communion, and commissioning.
